Questions, answered

What buyers ask us most.

01What certifications does Allen Flavors hold?

Allen Flavors is certified against Food Safety & Quality Codes, QAI Organic Handler/Processor certification under the USDA National Organic Program, and Orthodox Union (OU) Kosher certification.

02Do you provide Certificates of Analysis?

Yes. Every production lot ships with a COA, flavor profile evaluation, and physical and chemical specifications.

03Do you conduct micro testing and report on the COA?

Our products are low risk and shelf stable. In accordance with FDA Hazard Analysis and Risk-based Preventive Controls (HARPC) guidance (2018) and Flavor and Extract Manufacturers Association (FEMA) Industry Guidance (2020), the majority of our products meet one or more criteria to make them exempt from routine microbial testing. In instances where they are not exempt or are customer-required, micro testing will be conducted and provided on the COA as outlined on the specification.

04How do you ensure batch-to-batch consistency?

Consistency is maintained through standardized formulation protocols, calibrated production equipment, in-process quality checks, and finished product evaluation against approved reference standards.

05How do you handle allergen control?

We follow strict allergen management protocols including segregation, thorough cleaning procedures, clear allergen labeling, staff training, and verification and validation activities. We provide allergen statements and COAs for all products.

06What traceability systems do you have?

Allen Flavors maintains complete chain-of-custody traceability from raw material sourcing through production to finished product shipment, as required by FDA and SQF.
